Privacy requests

You can contact us to ask about personal information in correspondence you have sent us, or request access, correction or deletion. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your request. Please do not send passwords, payment details or identity documents unless we have explained why they are needed.

Copyright notices and removal requests

If you believe material on Festival Escapes infringes your rights, send a written notice to the address above with:

• Your name and contact details, including an email address and postal address.
• A description of the work you own or represent, and evidence or a link identifying it.
• The exact Festival Escapes page address and the image or text you are reporting.
• A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
• A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that you own the rights or are authorised to act for their owner.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

We review notices promptly and may remove or restrict disputed material while investigating. Where appropriate, we seek further information and notify the relevant content provider. We do not knowingly retain infringing material and will stop using contributors or sources responsible for repeated infringement. This website does not offer public uploads or comments.

How we handle correspondence

We use the information you send to respond to and resolve your request, based on our legitimate interests in maintaining an accurate, lawful website and, where applicable, our legal obligations. Our email providers process messages to deliver them. We keep correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the matter and retain relevant evidence. Relevant details may be shared with a rights holder, content provider or adviser when necessary to investigate a claim or comply with law. We do not add correspondents to marketing lists. You may raise a data-protection concern with the UK Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk.
